ICPI Continues Academic Instructors Training Efforts Across North America
ICPI continued its academic licensing program with an instructor training event in Indianapolis on February 28-29. Rob Bowers led the session with 9 participants representing schools in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Ohio.
The academic licensing program allows participating schools to teach the Concrete Paver Installer (CPI) course to registered students, preparing them to obtain certification as soon as experience has been obtained. Training students in industry best practices from the start helps ensure that the next generation of installers are installing projects that will last. Since the program started in July 2018, ICPI has trained 59 instructors representing 53 schools. Additional training events are scheduled for Milton, Ontario, and Waltham, Massachusetts in the spring.
