CISC Provides Construction Industry Safety Coalition Recommendations: COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan for Construction

On March 25, 2020, the Construction Industry Safety Coalition completed the "Construction Industry Safety Coalition Recommendations: COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan for Construction." The plan provides employers and employees in the construction industry with steps to help reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. The plan is intended to be used to prevent worker exposure to coronavirus, protective steps for jobsites, protective equipment and practices to implement, cleaning and disinfecting measures, and what to do if an employee becomes sick.

Additionally, the plan includes two letters: Essential Industry Employees traveling to jobsites and Employee Notification if an employee at the workplace has tested positive with coronavirus. The plan also provides a COVID-19 Checklist for Employers and Employees and a COVID-19 toolbox training.

ICPI encourages members to review the plan and share with others in the industry. To view the complete Construction Industry Safety Coalition Recommendations: COVID-19 Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response Plan for Construction, click here.
