ICPI Announces the 2021 Summer Meeting Will be Held In-Person in Annapolis, MD
On Thursday, June 17, the Executive Committee discussed plans for the ICPI Summer Meeting and considered border crossing and other travel related issues that some members face. By June 22, it is anticipated that the Canada - United States cross border travel restrictions will be eased for those who are fully vaccinated (received the second dose at least 14 days prior to travel). This may potentially allow Canadians to travel to Annapolis for the Summer Meeting and return to Canada, with limited requirements.
Following discussion, the decision was made to hold the upcoming ICPI 2021 Summer Meeting in-person at the Graduate Annapolis hotel in Annapolis, MD with a virtual option being offered to those members who are not able to attend in-person. In person or virtual registration fees are the same, as the cost to offer the virtual option is significant and it is expected that the registration fees will only offset a small part of that cost. This meeting is very important due to the possibility that it might be the last ICPI meeting held separately from other associations and that the unification discussions and potential timeline further emphasizes the importance of us all being together in person.
The ICPI Summer Meeting will feature committee meetings, General Session Luncheon, Unification Round-table Discussion, Networking Happy Hour, offsite Social Event, and an optional PaverPAC Reception.
